Born: New Brunswick, N.J.

Education: Bachelor of arts, American Studies, University of Notre Dame

Whom do you admire most in business and why?

I admire a lot of the usual suspects. Everyone says Warren Buffett, and I’m one of those, but not only for his brilliance when it comes to investment strategies but for his approachable style and his pragmatism. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs for their relentless pursuit of innovation — and what Bill has done in particular with the Gates Foundation for finding a higher purpose for business and being able to marry personal interest with his brilliance. And lastly, Oprah Winfrey, I’m a huge admirer of her. She has formidable instincts and just her track record in building a media empire and challenging the status quo.

If you could be one superhero, who would you be and why?

It’s too obvious to say Wonder Woman, so I’m not going there. Flash, because I’m a working mom with way too many commitments, and I could really use super speed.
