What is the most important business lesson you have learned?

Be careful what you want to create, because you probably will. If you build a business around you, it can become your prison as well as your passion. On the other hand, you can take that same passion and share it with others in the business, allowing them to participate and help the company grow.

What has been your toughest business challenge?

Switching from wanting to be a great individual to being a great coach and team builder. Converting my energy from 'me' to 'us.'

Describe your leadership style.

Our employees enjoy the level that they get to play at and the level of shared accountability. We give what we get, and we get what we give.

Whom do you admire in business and why?

Richard Farmer, chairman of Cintas Corp. Richard started with nothing and, along with some other top players, built a multibillon dollar company that is highly respected by businesses.

Cintas is known for building a culture that any company would envy. The company has all the right stuff -- productivity, innovation and accountability.
