The teams of ShipLogix and nPassage, two of the leading providers of collaborative Internet-based transportation management systems, have joined forces in a new corporation named SLX Inc. SLX Inc. has acquired the assets of both companies and will operate under the ShipLogix name. ShipLogix will remain headquartered in Hudson.

3M has donated 27 acres of land on Copley Road in Copley to be used for senior citizen housing and a light industrial/office complex.

The University of Akron has strengthened its ties to Lockheed Martin Naval electronics & Surveillance Systems by signing an agreement creating the Engineering Partnership Program.
