Lev Barinskiy, owner, president and CEO, of Cyber Technology LLC, has always been tuned in to the business potential of the Internet.

In high school, he launched an eBay-based business selling WWF memorabilia, using the earnings to put himself through college. At Capital University, he opened an Allstate insurance agency at the age of 20. The combined classroom education and real-world entrepreneurial experience helped propel him toward starting his own company after graduation.

Through Cyber Technology, Barinskiy has paired the two main aspects of his business background — the Internet and insurance sales — to build a company that helps insurance shoppers save money. The company’s technology helps connect shoppers to insurance agents, drumming up business for agents and helping customers find the best deals.

Since launching Cyber Technology, Barinskiy has been able to connect its customers with more than 6,000 agents working for Nationwide, Allstate, Safe Auto and State Farm. Barinskiy differentiates his business through his level of customer service. Cyber Technology packages products and services together to provide a one-stop shopping concept for both consumers and agents, and it also employs customer service representatives who are available 24 hours a day to answer questions.

In the future, Barinskiy plans to keep Cyber Technology as a domestic company and maintain his business as a private equity, with no additional investors. Barinskiy is also keeping an eye on the potential for acquisitions or strategic alliances with competitors, an opportunity he’d like to explore, and possibly make a reality, within the next three years.
