Helen M. Torok leads a growing team at HMT Dermatology Associates Inc.

2009 Business Growth Awards: Technology Category - Sales GrowthWhen HMT Dermatology Associates Inc. opened at Trillium Creek on June 10, 2003, it definitely gave the company space to fill. The dermatology practice — which is led by Dr. Helen M. Torok, the facility’s medical director — more than quadrupled in size from a 5,000-square-foot space to a 23,000-square-foot facility at Trillium Creek.
That additional space didn’t stay empty for long as the practice added new positions such as marketing director, accounting director, human resources director, general manager, nursing supervisor and triage coordinator.
The added positions from the move boosted the practice from 25 employees to almost 50, while the practice also expanded its services. HMT Dermatology, which saw 168 percent growth in sales over the last five years, continues to grow each year because of service innovation, expansion and successful strategic planning under Torok’s guidance.
In the fall of 2007, Trillium Creek launched a new division of the practice called the Aesthetic Center at Trillium Creek. The new center expanded the current cosmetic services that HMT Dermatology provided.
This included the introduction of cutting-edge laser treatments, body-contouring treatments and other anti-aging treatments.
HMT Dermatology also pioneered advancement in the quality of care that is provided to all patients by developing standard operating procedures for electronic medical records systems in the field of dermatology. This initiative will ensure that all patients’ information is protected and that they consistently receive the highest level of care.
Torok is not only helping the company grow through her leadership but also by using her medical talents.
She is considered an expert both in medical and cosmetic dermatology, earning an excellent reputation in her specialty: diagnosing and treating disorders of the skin, hair and nails. Torok is also known for her expertise in lip enhancement.
