Eric Renner leads the small business lending effort for the biggest SBA lender in the state, National City Bank of Pennsylvania.
"Eric has been a major factor in the Pennsylvania bank's focus and success in small business lending," says Tom Golonski, president and CEO of National City Bank of Pennsylvania.
Renner helped National City Corp. to rank fifth nationally in small business lending and 11th in the number of SBA loans approved. National City Bank of Pennsylvania accounts for a full third of the corporation's total SBA loans.
Under Renner's leadership, National City has made 1,638 business loans under the SBA program, totaling more than $171 million since 1991.
National City calculates the loans have created 3,800 jobs and helped retain another 8,500 in Pennsylvania.
