The leaders of Dorman Farrell LLC believe that if you are going to make community service a part of your company, you need to make it a part of your company’s cultural foundation.

Under the leadership of President Mark J. Dorman, the professional consulting firm has taken the concept of community involvement and woven it into the fabric of the company through numerous charity partnerships and service initiatives.

Based in Medina, Dorman Farrell has been particularly active in Medina County community initiatives.

From 2001 to 2005, the firm was the title sponsor for the Hospice of Medina County Golf Outing. Providing both financial and volunteer support, Dorman Farrell helped Hospice of Medina County raise more than $100,000.

This past June, Dorman Farrell hosted its own inaugural charity golf outing, which helped raise $20,000 for four area charities: the American Red Cross Medina County Chapter, Bluecoats of Medina County Inc., Cathy’s House and the Mary Grace Memorial Foundation.

Dorman Farrell has also been involved in supporting arts and culture in the Medina area. In 2007, the firm financed an exhibit of 40 Norman Rockwell sketches to benefit the American Red Cross of Medina County. In addition, the firm has been a financial supporter of Main Street Medina, a program designed to foster growth on Medina’s Public Square, including initiatives aimed at bringing more cultural events to Medina’s downtown area.

Dorman Farrell has been active in area business initiatives. This year, the firm once again partnered with the economic development corporations in Medina, Ashland and Wayne counties for the Tri-County Wage and Benefit Survey, a highly successful program first conducted in 2006. The 2008 survey results will be made available in early 2009 and will provide area employers with benchmarks for wages and benefits and future trend analysis.

With its involvement in many different initiatives benefiting numerous people and organizations in a variety of fields, Dorman Farrell is living its cultural principle of community service and setting an example for other companies in Northeast Ohio to follow.
