Jim Kenyoncle_hr_JimKenyon has proven to be an invaluable asset throughout his career. His application of lean methodology to the HR function has allowed him to align HR initiatives with business objectives, contributing not only to an effective talent management process but also bottom-line results.
Several of Kenyon’s accomplishments occurred while at Danaher Corp. He was an integral part of developing a successful operation in China, quickly helping grow the business and improving a strong Danaher brand in an emerging market. While working with the China operation, Kenyon was able to reduce turnover to less than 10 percent through an exit interview root-cause analysis, talent-planning process and retention program for high-potentials.
In his most recent role with Associated Materials, Kenyon quickly assimilated into the new culture and began to have a significant impact on the organization. Relying on his broad experience, he quickly identified opportunities that would add value to the organization and increase efficiency and productivity. Kenyon was immediately tasked with identifying ways to reduce the turnover rate of more than 100 percent within the manufacturing plants at Associated Materials.
Through an in-depth analysis of a variety of metrics and analytics, he devised a solution to turn around the company’s inability to retain plant employees. Soon after the plan was implemented, the company’s turnover at the plant level decreased to 35 percent, with an increase in production and quality also contributing to bottom-line results supporting the initial steps of lean transformation.
