cle_hr_LoriStrickerLori Stricker has had a significant impact on the Vitamix Corp. in the brief two years she has been with the organization. She has the ability to develop an instant rapport with all employees and engage them in the journey to be a high-performing company.
Stricker redesigned and redeveloped the employee on-boarding process, including revamping the new hire orientation process, integrating a president’s message, and designing and implementing a manager orientation session.
She also supported the development of a discovery map learning activity that is a key tool in the on-boarding process, enabling employees to participate in a self-guided learning activity that provides an overview of company history, culture, customers, products, businesses and delivery channels.
As the company’s first dedicated training professional, Stricker has justified the addition of three additional trainers and a training coordinator through the quantity and quality of her results. She and her team designed, developed and delivered more than 20,000 hours of training for 3,000 participants, with average effectiveness ratings in excess of 95 percent favorable, introduced e-learning and developed a comprehensive set of metrics so the company can effectively assess and improve performance.
Stricker also helped shape the company culture to improve cross-functional teamwork and business results. A consultant was hired to support the process designed to strengthen characteristics of the culture. She was the primary contact with the partner in the design, development and delivery of training to more than 800 employees.
