cle_hr_RenaSuhwailRena Suhwail, a student at Cleveland State University, joined the HR team at Asurint and has shown herself to be trusted and well-liked by all employees. Gaining credibility with employees is not an easy feat, but due to her HR knowledge and friendly demeanor, Suhwail has been able to do that quite well. She is able to handle sensitive and confidential information, and her positive attitude and willingness to help is appreciated by everyone who works with her.
One of her major accomplishments was assuming the responsibilities of the HR manager while the manager was on maternity leave. This included processing all payroll and benefits, approving vendor invoices and assisting with employee issues.
Suhwail was also charged with scheduling employees for training classes. This required her to work through logistics of times the trainer was available and optimal times for employees to attend. She changed the scheduling process by creating a template and having the managers slot their employees into the best times. This made the scheduling process much easier for the managers and was well received by all.
One unique project she assisted with was transitioning to a new payroll system. She participated in all implementation calls with the vendor and supplied the vendor with the required information. She had to learn to use a new payroll system shortly after learning the company’s old system. In addition, she has been extremely helpful in training employees on how to navigate these systems.
