What qualifies for an adjustment?
There are several situations that may qualify for a price adjustment and not a discount. Discounting not only hurts your credibility, it also erodes your profit margins.
The customer may already feel that you are overpriced, and it’s confirmed when you arbitrarily offer to lower the asking price without justification.
Everyone in your company should already know in advance what qualifies for a price adjustment — Not Discount. The adjustment that is made could be because of volume or quantity, exclusivity or contract or as a one-time enticement to try your product or service.
