The Cascade Capital Business Growth Awards Each year, Cascade Capital Corp. honors companies in Summit, Medina, Portage, Wayne and Ashland counties that demonstrate stellar growth.
A company may earn a Business Growth Award by either:
- Increasing its sales level by 100 percent or at least $5 million
- Increasing employee numbers by 50 percent or at least 25 people
This year, 36 businesses in the Greater Akron region qualified for this prestigious honor. To underscore the diversity of companies in the region, this year, unlike in previous years, we’ve chosen to honor businesses in the categories of manufacturing, technology and service. Winners were chosen based on the general award criteria, and a best-of category winner was also named. As part of this year’s program, we’ve also established the FirstMerit Legacy Award to honor the company that has had the greatest impact on the Greater Akron region.
