Business Notes

Square Two Golf Inc. has named Canton’s Innis Maggiore Group its advertising and PR firm. Square Two is a leading manufacturer of golf equipment from Fairfield, N.J., and an official sponsor of the LPGA. “Our relationship with Innis Maggiore will help us support our top-quality golf equipment with targeted, cost-effective marketing services and to consolidate our marketing and promotion activities with one full-service provider,” says Douglas Buffington, president of Square Two.

Other Innis Maggiore clients include Republic Engineered Steels, Camelot Music and Aultman Health Foundation.

Speaking of Innis Maggiore, the agency brass considered 20 sites before settling on a place to house its expanding staff, which currently crowds two separate locations.

The firm will move to a 12,000-square-foot building at 4715 Whipple Ave., N.W. in the Belden Village area—formerly the Aultman Center for One-Day Surgery.

“Opening new space is a risk … but we’ll have a more efficient operation with everyone in one space. And it will increase our visibility because it’s a landmark building,” says President Dick Maggiore. The move should be complete by mid-year.

Is road rage a clinical disorder? Perhaps. Intercede of Longford Health Sources at Massillon Community Hospital is offering a treatment plan for the aggressive driver. Max Burkins, administrative director of Longford Health Sources, says it’s essentially a targeted stress program.

The program consists of 18 weekly 90-minute sessions that include relaxation exercises, coping skills and other techniques. Driving behavior is monitored by maintaining driving logs. (But don’t fill ’em out while you’re on the cell phone; that really honks us off!) For more information, call Intercede of Longford Health Sources at (330) 832-4099.
