B.W. Rogers Co. and Exonic Systems Inc., two established leaders in the distribution and integration of automation products and services, are merging to provide their customers with a broader range of automation solutions than has previously been available through a single organization.

B.W. Rogers, headquartered in Akron, has served the Midwest with reliable pneumatic and hydraulic solutions since 1928. Exonic Systems, based in Pittsburgh, has provided the tri-state area with comprehensive electro-mechanical solutions since 1978.

Summit Racing Equipment

Summit Racing Equipment of Tallmadge broke ground for a three-story 23,000-square-foot retail addition designed by Herschman Architects Inc. Summit Racing is a major supplier of performance parts and accessories for street vehicles, imports, trucks and race cars.

Eliokem

Eliokem, a spin-off of Goodyear Chemical, has opened offices on Archwood Avenue in Akron. The space will also house three new state-of-the-art research and development laboratories.

J.E. Doyle, a manufacturer of cleaning and quality control systems for paper mills, converters and printers, changed its name to Doyle Systems.
