David Powell is the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s new executive vice president of economic development. Powell is a former Research Triangle Park development professional and is responsible for planning and implementing strategies to enhance the economic growth of the Greater Columbus region.

Doug Reys, compensation and benefits manager at Franklin International, was selected Employee Benefit Professional of the Year by Employee Benefit News magazine. Franklin International is a manufacturer of wood glues and specialty adhesives.

Accounting and consulting firm Crowe, Chizek and Co. LLP was named “Best of the Best” by Bowman’s Accounting Report, a national monthly accounting publication. Firms are chosen based on fiscal and management performance and judged in more than 25 categories.

Recreation Unlimited Foundation, an organization that provides year-round sports, recreation and education camps and programs for individuals with physical and development disabilities, has named James F. White and Kenton R. Bowen to its board of directors. White is vice president with Merrill Lynch in Columbus and Bowen is president and director of CallTech Communications LLC.

Bradley R. Nadolson was named president of The Righter Co. Inc., a construction services firm. He has served as the company’s vice president since 1991.

Sullivan Bruck Architects hired Mircea Crisan as its technical manager. Crisan will handle graphic design duties for the firm’s marketing efforts.

Residential building company Rockford Homes received the Building Industry Association Builder of the Year Award. The winner is selected by BIA committee members based on professional excellence and support of BIA standards and policies.

Anthony Huckeby was hired by Huntington National Bank as senior vice president and manager of foreign exchange. Prior to joining Huntington, he served in a similar capacity with Commerce Bank in Kansas City, Mo.

Former president of the Ohio Senate Richard H. Finan has joined Calfee, Halter and Griswold LLP’s Columbus office in an of counsel capacity. He will practice with the government relations and legislation group.

Jerome C. Tinianow is the new vice president and executive director of Audubon Ohio, the state office of the National Audubon Society. Tinianow has practiced law as a trial attorney for 22 years.

Clary Communications named Thomas Heiby a partner in the firm. He has more than 30 years of marketing communications and brand strategy experience that encompasses public relations and advertising.

Donna M. Kellogg was named president of Kapco Promotions, a distributor of promotional products. She was formerly vice president of sales at the firm.
