Pittsburgh’s Canton Avenue is officially the steepest public road in the U.S. — and perhaps even the world. It’s part of the annual Dirty Dozen bike ride that takes cyclists over 13 of the steepest hills in Pittsburgh, never getting more than 6.21 miles away from the center of the city.
