Clarke named vice president, TransAction Group

The TransAction Group promoted Alex Clarke to vice president. Clarke has been active in all aspects of client engagements, with experience ranging from industrial distribution and logistics to food products and plastics, as well as consumer and electronics products.

Clarke has been active in the company’s dealings through M&A International Inc. He has participated in M&A’s Strategic Acquirors Forums in the United States and Europe and has worked directly with cross-border transactions. He started with the TransAction Group eight years ago as an intern while in graduate school.

He earned an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western Reserve University, concentrating in finance and entrepreneurship. He also earned a bachelor of arts degree in finance from John Carroll University.

Clarke is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and is active in the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club. Since 1987, The TransAction Group has been one of the Midwest’s leading advisers to private and public companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions ranging from $10 million to $250 million.

Moen Inc.
Moen Inc. promoted Judy Riley to vice president, design. Previously, she worked as senior director of industrial design for Moen.

She joined the company in 2003, and before that she spent nearly 20 years at Timex Corp., where she was vice president of industrial design. Riley graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design and is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers and The Industrial Designers Society of America.

Key Community Bank
Key Community Bank appointed Charles W. Sulerzyski to the newly created position of Great Lakes region president. Sulerzyski will oversee nine district presidents in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan from his Cleveland office.

He has more than 30 years of experience in consumer financial services and has held several senior management roles during his career, including executive vice president, retail banking group, at Provident Bank, and CEO of BancOne’s investment management and trust group. He most recently worked as managing director, Marsh Affinity and Private Client Practices, at Marsh & McLennan in New York City.

Sulerzyski graduated from New York University with a degree in economics and earned an MBA in marketing from Fordham University.

Skoda, Minotti & Co. promoted Michael J. Stefanek, CPA, to partner.

He has more than 13 years of experience in public accounting, with an emphasis in federal, state and local taxation. He graduated from John Carroll University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

InterContinental Hotel
InterContinental Hotel Cleveland promoted Andrew N. Gajary to hotel manager.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry and most recently served as manager for InterContinental’s properties on The Cleveland Clinic campus. He has been with InterContinental for eight years and previously worked for 12 years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. Gajary graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in business management and is pursuing his MBA.

Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network
Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network promoted Toby J. Miletta to vice president of information technology. Miletta previously worked as director of information technology for the company, which is one of the leading providers of senior living services in the state. Miletta joined Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network in 1999.

He attended Youngstown State University and is a member of the Center for Aging Services Technologies.

CBIZ hired Luke F. Baum as president of its broker dealer and registered investment adviser, CBIZ Financial Solutions Inc.

Before joining CBIZ, Baum worked for AssetMark Investment Services in Pleasant Hills, Calif. He graduated from John Carroll University and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

joined the Greater Cleveland Regional Team of Sky Bank as executive vice president, commercial banking.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He serves as a board member for the Center for Families and Children, Downtown Cleveland Partnership and Cleveland Museum of Art Corporate Council.

Fissell received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the University of Kentucky and an MBA in finance from Xavier University.
