Looking at a list of services offered by The CSC Group can take a bit of time.

The Brecksville-based company has clients all over the nation and services industries that range from health care to manufacturers.

“We consider ourselves a software development and services firm,” says William Zimmerman, chairman and CEO. “On the software side, we use a modular approach, where we go into our databank and take the pieces we need from different programs to assemble something for the customer, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

“On the services side, we are data conversion specialists. If you have paper that needs to go to film or CD, or from film to CD, or any media to any media, that’s what our conversion business does.”

This broad range of diverse offerings is one of the keys to CSC’s growth.

“What we like to believe is that we are a business partner to the customer, so that any data needs they have could be supplied by us, or we could help them find the appropriate product,” says Zimmerman. “We want to help companies do their data capture and conversion.”

The CSC Group helps clients find the money for its products. Analysts from the company study the systems of potential clients and make recommendations on how they can implement new solutions, or supplement existing ones, to cut costs.

The money saved in a short period of time will pay for the new applications.

“We understand their problems and put together a solution,” says Zimmerman.

This commitment to the customer has led to a 50 percent growth rate in each of the last two years.

Zimmerman says the company’s success wouldn’t be possible without the employees.

“If you think about the assets in a software company, the primary asset is the people,” says Zimmerman. “They go home every night. We want to create an environment we hope they want to return to tomorrow. We try very hard to have a friendly environment.”

The company sponsors periodic retreats to get feedback from employees on product improvements and improving the work environment.
