Ellenbogen named president, Executive Women’s Council

Joan Ellenbogen, CPA, managing partner of CrawfordEllenbogen LLC (CE) was elected president of the Executive Women’s Council of Pittsburgh.

“My goal for EWC this year is to put a face to the organization so that Pittsburgh’s leading women know there is an organization for them in which they are able to grow, network and make a difference through a united force,” she says.

Active in professional, business and community affairs, Ellenbogen serves on the board of the Port Authority of Allegheny County and is on the board of trustees of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, where she is development committee co-chair and a past president. She is also past president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants Pittsburgh Chapter and the Pittsburgh Tax Club.

Ellenbogen is past treasurer for the Allegheny County Bar Association and Board of Governors, previously served on the board of directors for the Estate Planning Council and is a past member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates. She also served on the Budget and Finance Committee of former County Executive Jim Roddey’s Transition Team for Allegheny County.

Ellenbogen earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Duquesne University, where she graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian. She received her law degree from Duquesne’s School of Law.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK
Vincent J. Delie Jr. joined First National Bank of Pennsylvania as president and CEO of the Pittsburgh region. Delie comes to First National Bank from National City Bank of Pennsylvania, where he was executive vice president and division manager for corporate banking.

Delie oversees all aspects of commercial lending in the bank’s Pittsburgh and Southern regions, which include Allegheny, Armstrong, Fayette, Green, Washington and Westmoreland counties, as well as the southern third of Butler county. He also is in charge of the retail and private banking operations in the Pittsburgh region.

Delie is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance. He is treasurer and a member of the executive committee of the board of directors for the Pittsburgh Zoo, a trustee of The Watson Institute and a member of the board of directors of Life’s Work of Western Pennsylvania.

TUCKER ARENSBERG
Tucker Arensberg PC appointed Robert B. Webb chief operating officer. Webb is the former county manager for Allegheny County, a position he held from 2000 to 2003.

Prior to serving as county manager, Webb was deputy controller of the county.

He serves as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, teaching a course on public leadership. He also leads Systems Synthesis Projects, which connect students enrolled in the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy & Management to the real world through a semesterlong project.

Webb is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received his law degree from Duquesne Law School. In his new role, he will manage the firm’s day-to-day operations, be responsible for the development and roll-out of major projects and initiatives, and work with the managing shareholder and board of directors to implement the firm’s strategic plan.

PWCAMPBELL
PWCampbell named former banking executive, Glenn W. Grau vice president of sales and marketing. In his new position, Grau develops sales strategies and oversee the implementation of marketing activities that support the firm’s continued growth and geographic expansion.

Grau joined PWCampbell in 2000 as regional vice president after a decade of experience in alternative investment products and bank management. As an assistant vice president of Dollar Bank in Pittsburgh, he was responsible for 14 facilities, 200 employees and $500 million in assets.

ELIAS/SAVION PUBLIC RELATIONS
Joanne Beardslee was appointed director of public relations of Elias/Savion Public Relations.

Beardslee is well-versed in strategic brand development, marketing communications, media relations, crisis communications, national product launches and team management. She has a broad experience in B2B, consumer and international business issues. Beardslee directs all strategy and PR activity for current clients, grows the PR department locally and will open a New York office in 2006.

Previously, Beardslee was public relations manager at Rhea & Kaiser Integrated Marketing Communications in Chicago, where she developed and executed public relations plans, secured national media coverage and increased brand awareness while driving sales for major accounts.

AD 1 PARTNERS
Mike Lockwood joined Ad 1 Partners as marketing director.

Lockwood is responsible for developing creative design and marketing strategies for Ad 1’s clients in the hospitality, business, technology and nonprofit sectors.

Lockwood graduated from La Roche College with a bachelor of science degree in graphic design. He has done design work for La Roche, Industrial Heating magazine and Steel City Mortgage.

He is also co-founder of Wail Records, an independent record label in Pittsburgh.
