Dancle_hr_DanGleeson Gleeson joined Park Place Technologies in 2012, and was promoted to senior corporate recruiter in April. In addition to being an exceptional recruiter — he personally filled more than 105 positions since joining the company — he has taken on many high impact initiatives that have improved employee, candidat
e and customer experiences.
Gleeson redesigned, refocused and rebranded an employee referral program. He based the redesign using external benchmarking of programs. Employee referrals have increased from 34 percent before Gleeson started with Park Place, to more than 50 percent this year. Cost per hire has also come down.
He has also utilized the power of social media to present not just the open opportunities with Park Place but to give candidates a glimpse into the corporate culture.
One of the most important and “tough to get right” positions in the company is the entry level business development associate. Gleeson quickly developed a strong business partner relationship with sales leadership and hiring managers to determine what was working and what could be improved in the process. He documented the archetype for the hiring profile and began to work with hiring managers to determine if it was being applied consistently and if the company was truly looking for the key elements of success in the role.
