Having completed its first year in which local and national family business experts made presentations and served on panels, the center surveyed local family businesses to determine programming for the 1998-1999 year, expected to begin later this fall. Upcoming events will focus on leadership, succession, communication and financial planning/tax implications. Family Business Solutions at The Ohio State University

Fisher College of Business is creating this new program to meet the information and education demands of family and owner-managed businesses. The program, which kicks off later this month, will feature a series of three-day modules on topics including developing an owner’s plan, succession planning, family business governance, communication and conflict management, and technology solutions. The program will be introduced at an open session Oct. 23. The first module is set for Nov. 4-6.
