Firm philosophy

Frantz Ward LLP Partners

When the original 15 partners of Frantz Ward LLP started the law firm in 2000, it was their vision to have community service and support as a cornerstone of the firm. They would not direct what initiatives the firm should take but would instead allow staff members to find community and charitable causes they believed in.
The firm and its employees thus contribute their time, talents and finances to a variety of charitable organizations and causes to make a positive difference in the lives of others throughout the Greater Cleveland area.
Several attorneys volunteer their time with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, serving as guardian ad litem for children in custody or neglect cases in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court and as appeal advocates for children who have been denied Supplemental Security Income disability benefits from the Social Security Administration.
The Legal Aid Society has even honored Frantz Ward attorneys with the Volunteer Lawyers Program Recognition Award in appreciation for the pro bono hours that the attorneys log while representing children in disability benefits cases.
More recently, Kenneth Kleppel, an associate at Frantz Ward, was named a “Spotlight Volunteer” by the Legal Aid Society for his hours of legal advice to those in need, as well as being instrumental in expanding Legal Aid’s network of pro bono attorneys through his active recruitment of law firm colleagues and fellow law school alumni.
The firm’s attorneys have received numerous awards for pro bono work through other organizations and for volunteering their time at many community service activities. Inspired by a family member with multiple sclerosis, attorney Jenifer Novak and family have regularly participated on a team for the Northeast Ohio MS Society Walk. Generous contributions have resulted in the team being recognized by the National MS Society as a top fundraising private team for the last five years.
