Debbie Victory has resigned from her position as executive director of Cascade Capital Corp. Victory handled more than $167 million in transactions during her 15-year tenure with CCC, resulting in the creation of 2,700 jobs for the Akron area. Robert Filipiak, senior loan officer, was named interim director of CCC while the board searches for a new director.

 

Ann Amer Brennan will receive the Bert A. Polsky Humanitarian Award of the Akron Community Foundation at a dinner in October. Brennan has been a full-time activist and volunteer in the community for 15 years.

 

Downtown Akron Partnership has appointed Catherine Paperella as program director.
