The Canton/Stark County Convention & Visitors’ Bureau

The Canton/Stark County Convention & Visitors’ Bureau board of trustees has appointed John Kiste as its executive director. Kiste has been serving as interim director since April 2000. Prior to that, he served as the organization’s communications and convention sales manager.

Wayne Bancorp Inc.

The parent company of Wayne County National Bank, Chippewa Valley Bank and MidOhio Data Inc. has promoted Donna S. Knack to vice president of retail banking for Wayne County Bank. Knack is responsible for the coordination, development and oversight of the retail distribution chain for Wayne County National Bank and Chippewa Valley Bank

John A. Lende, most recently vice president and controller, Wayne County National Bank, has been promoted to vice president and chief financial officer. He will oversee internal and external financial reporting for Wayne Bancorp Inc. and its affiliate companies.

Alice G. Downs has been promoted to vice president and trust officer, retirement plan services group, Wayne County National Bank. She is responsible for the management of the retirement services staff. As the sales representative and pension consultant in the area of retirement planning, her responsibilities include designing and customizing plans for companies and individuals.

Brian D. Troyer has been promoted to vice president and trust operations officer, Wayne County National Bank. Troyer, most recently trust operations officer, is responsible for the management of Wayne County National Bank’s trust operations staff, including staff training and the implementation of new systems.

Thomas H. Cunningham, most recently assistant controller, Wayne County National Bank, has been promoted to assistant vice president, Wayne County National Bank. He is responsible for preparing internal and external financial reports for Wayne Bancorp Inc.

Kathy L. Engelhardt has been promoted to assistant vice president, Mortgage Lending, Wayne County National Bank. Engelhardt, who joined the bank in 1980, was most recently a mortgage loan officer. Her responsibilities include underwriting for the bank’s mortgage lending center and originating loans.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival

Ray Hexamer, vice president and general manager of WHBC Radio/Next Media Group, will head the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce 2002 Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Steering Committee. The Steering Committee acts in an oversight capacity to review and give approval to festival issues such as budget and related financial matters, policy changes and the selection of the general chairman and general vice-chairman.

Charlene Corlett, vice president of Mercy Medical Center, will chair the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Queen Committee for the second consecutive year. A member of the committee since 1994, she served as vice chairman in 2000. She also was chair of the special events committee in 1998 and 1999.

Hall, Kistler & Co.

Karen J. Moss has been promoted to manager of the accounting firm’s Canton office. Moss’ concentration is in tax and small business planning and consulting.

Heidi M. Teague was promoted to supervisor of the firm’s Canton office. She specializes in the areas of audit and oil and gas.

Ron E. Butler has been promoted to senior accountant. He practices in the area of general accounting.

Buckeye Color Lab

Martin F. Plummer has been hired as the North Canton company’s new business development director. Buckeye Color Lab is one of the largest professional color processing labs in the country.

Bruner-Cox

Steven J. Kehr has been hired as an associate in the general services department of the firm’s Canton office. The accounting and consulting firm has offices in Akron and Canton.

Kimberly M. Bissett has been hired as an associate in the firm’s general services department.

Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs

Shila Nalawadi has joined the law firm’s Canton office. She will practice in the health law practice group.

Young Truck Sales

Rita Burchett has been promoted to business manager. She has been with the company 12 years.

Chuck Fedorka has been hired as Young Truck Sales’ new truck sales and F&I manager.

Deborah Arlin has been hired as accounts receivable manager.
