UniCare appointed David W. Fields president and CEO. Most recently, he was general manager of the Consumer Services Division for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, responsible for individual, small group and senior products.

Fields joined the company in 1997 as regional vice president for the Savannah Region, and thereafter assumed responsibility for the Macon and Albany regions.

Prior to joining Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, Fields spent 11 years with a regional carrier in Kentucky and Kansas/Missouri, overseeing staff model and network model operations in multiple states. Before that, he was a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand, specializing in hospital and insurance company audits.

Fields has served on multiple boards, including The American Red Cross, The American Heart Association and The National Conference of Christians and Jews. In 1995, he was the sole insurance/managed care representative on Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan’s Task Force on the Uninsured. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Louisville with a bachelor of science degree in commerce/accounting.

BOSTROM CORP.

Bostrom Corp. appointed Jeanne Sheehy chief marketing officer. As CMO, she drives the strategic direction and implementation of both Bostrom Corp. and Bostrom Consulting Associates’ marketing and communications programs.

In addition, she continues to lead department management for client services involving integrated marketing strategies, including branding, member marketing, public relations and related programs for Bostrom’s client base. Prior to her appointment, Sheehy was director of marketing and alliances.

In addition to implementing Bostrom’s own marketing and communication strategy, Sheehy will retain responsibilities as marketing director for two of Bostrom’s clients, The Society of Women Engineers and the Tile Roofing Institute. She implemented integrated marketing plans for both clients, which included new branding initiatives, redesigned Web sites with content management systems, nondues-revenue generation programming and membership growth initiatives. Sheehy joined Bostrom’s team in 2003.

She earned her B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Rockhurst University. Sheehy is an active member of the Association Forum and the American Society of Association Executives.

TRANSUNION

Steve Gladyszewski joined TransUnion, a leading global information solutions company, as vice president of technology in the company’s Analytic Decision Services business unit.

ADS combines flexible decisioning software solutions with custom analytics to enable customers to combat fraud, manage risk and capitalize on market opportunities. Gladyszewski oversees the technical infrastructure of the group, ensuring all ADS solutions are built to meet the peak capacity volume demands of the marketplace and can easily be integrated into customer infrastructures.

Before joining TransUnion, he was vice president and chief information officer at LightBridge, responsible for the delivery of all products and services to customers. He also held management positions in centralized, decentralized and hybrid environments for a variety of organizations, from start-ups to multibillion-dollar global organizations.

He completed graduate work at Iona College and holds a bachelor of science degree in computer management/marketing management from Fordham University.

CCC INFORMATION SERVICES GROUP INC.

CCC Information Services Group Inc. named Andrew G. Balbirer executive vice president and CFO.

Most recently, Balbirer was CFO of Information Resources Inc., a provider of content and analytic services to consumer packaged goods manufacturers and retailers. Prior to that, he held executive positions with Specialty Foods Corp. as CFO of Specialty Foods, as well as CEO and COO for two of its businesses. Balbirer also spent 13 years with The NutraSweet Co., a division of Monsanto Co., where he held positions including CFO and general manager of NutraSweet’s consumer business.

Balbirer earned his MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a bachelor of science degree in business administration at the University of Missouri. He is a CPA.

CCC Information Services Inc. is a leading supplier of advanced software, communications systems, Internet and wireless-enabled technology solutions to the automotive-claims and collision-repair industries.

R.J. O’BRIEN AND ASSOCIATES INC.

R.J. O’Brien and Associates Inc., one of the oldest and largest futures commission merchants, appointed Terrence Whalen chief information officer. Whalen is a a veteran technology developer from the financial services industry. He assumes responsibility for development, implementation and management of RJO’s trading and information technology.

Whalen joins RJO from the Lincoln Financial Group, where he was chief information officer for its First Penn Pacific Life affiliate. Previously, he served as an officer in the information technology division of CNA Financial Insurance and worked in a variety of technology roles for the Continental Insurance Corp. He is a member of the Society of Information Management and the Illinois CIO Exchange.
