Kathleen M. Oswald was named president of Right Management Consultants, Great Lakes Region, an organizational consulting and career transition firms. As president, Oswald oversees the Southfield, Toledo, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo offices for the Great Lakes Region. In addition, she will oversee Right’s growing organizational consulting practice.

Oswald joined Right in 2002 as senior vice president and managing director. Previously, she served as senior vice president and chief administrative officer for DaimlerChrysler and executive director of human resources at Ford Motor Co. She serves on the boards for the Women’s Leadership Forum, The American Heart Association, Michigan Virtual University, Junior Achievement of Southeast Michigan and Marygrove College. She also serves on the advisory board for the Automotive Women’s Association.
Oswald holds a master of science degree in personnel management from Central Michigan University. She also completed Duke University’s advanced management program and the University of Michigan’s advanced human resource executive program.
Detroit Regional Chamber
The Detroit Regional Chamber named Tammy J. Carnrike executive vice president. Previously, Carnrike was president and CEO of the Chenango (N.Y.) Chamber for the past 10 years and a member of the Chenango management team for nine years prior. As executive vice president, Carnrike will have executive oversight responsibilities as well as primary responsibility for the chamber’s membership sales, retention and marketing.
Carnrike serves as chair of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, a national association serving the professional development needs of individuals managing chambers of commerce throughout the United States and Canada. She replaces Tami Door, who is now president and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership.
Visteon Corp.
John Donofrio was appointed senior vice president and general counsel of Visteon Corp. He joined the company from Honeywell, where he was vice president and general counsel of Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, Ariz.
Donofrio joined Honeywell in 1996 as associate general counsel. After two years in this role he was promoted to deputy general counsel, working extensively on behalf of the company’s automotive business. In 2000, Donofrio was appointed vice president and general counsel of Honeywell Aerospace, a $10-billion, 40,000-person global manufacturer of aerospace components and systems.
Before joining Honeywell, Donofrio spent seven years with the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, D.C., and New York. He began his career as a law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Oxford Bank
Matthew D. Ankley joined Oxford Bank as vice president and a commercial loan officer. He brings more than 12 years of commercial banking experience to his position. Ankley has an MBA from the University of Michigan. He also has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Oakland University.
The bank also named Melanie S. Helms as a bank officer and branch manager of its new Davison retail branch location. Helms joined Oxford Bank in May and brings more than 19 years of retail sales management experience and more than five years of bank branch management experience to her new position.
TechTEAM Global Inc.
TechTeam Global Inc. hired retired Maj. Gen. Lester Martinez-Lopez as executive vice president of health care solutions for its subsidiary company Sytel Inc. Martinez-Lopez served 27 years in the U.S. Army before leaving his post as commanding general of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command at Fort Detrick, Md.
He oversaw a $1.6 billion budget and served more than 5,000 employees researching chemical and biological defense, infectious disease and trauma. Bethesda, Md.-based Sytel provides professional services in enterprise information portals, knowledge and content management, and competitive sourcing. Southfield-based TechTeam Global provides information-technology and business-process outsourcing support services to companies and governmental entities.
Aastrom Biosciences Inc.
Ann Arbor-based Aastrom Biosciences Inc. appointed Gerald Brennan Jr. CFO, replacing Alan Wright. Brennan joins Aastrom from Great Lakes Chemical Corp. In the past 20 years, Brennan has worked as a finance executive and manager at companies such as Monsanto Pharma Tech, Capcom Coin-Op Inc. and Tupperware Corp. Wright, CFO for the past five years, plans to stay on as a consultant to ease the transition.
JWT Detroit
George Rogers was named co-president of JWT Detroit. He oversees the agency’s U.S. relationship with its biggest client, Ford Motor Co. Rogers will share leadership of the office with Tom Cordner, co-president and Ford worldwide creative director.
Rogers worked most recently as executive vice president, group director, for Wenham, Mass.-based Mullen. He managed Mullen’s Detroit office and its relationship with General Motors Corp., XM Satellite Radio and other clients.
