The Ohio Job Creation Tax Credit Authority has approved a 5-year, 55 percent tax credit for The Vitanium Co. LLC to begin operations in Columbus. This company will develop, implement and offer new and used automobile lease products to medium and smaller dealers in New York, New Jersey and western Connecticut.
Clothing Care Ltd., a Gahanna-area dry cleaner, has received $80,000 in financing from the Clean Air Resource Center of the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority to install a more environmentally friendly cleaning system. In addition, Clothing Care has received a Small Business Assistance Grant of up to 4 percent of the amount financed to undertake this project.
RWS Building Co. has won a bid to renovate Grover Center at Ohio University. The renovation will transform the recreation center into classrooms and office space that will house several departments, including nursing, hearing and speech and human consumer sciences by December 2000.
Moorehead Design, a Columbus-based communication design firm, has been retained by COSI to create and implement the operating, capital and sponsor recognition signage program for COSI’s new building.

The agency was one of 500 national winners.
Bell-Haun Systems Inc. of Westerville has been awarded contracts with Columbus’ main office of Pick’n Save, a subsidiary of Roundy’s; McNaughten McKay Electric Co. of Ohio Inc.; Solutions Staffing; General Casting; and The Fairfield County Health Department to install business telephone systems.
Bell Haun also won, for the fifth consecutive year, the top distributor award for the Midwest region at the Iwatsu American Awards. This award is only given to one recipient in one of six regions across the country.
Vaisala Columbus, a manufacturer of aviation weather observing equipment, has been contracted by the state of Oklahoma to install systems at 20 airports throughout the state.
“This contract brings the total to 11 statewide contracts for the company since 1989,” says Geoff Bing, director of marketing and sales. After completion of this contract Vaisala will have more than 400 of its systems installed in 37 states.

The Builders Exchange of Central Ohio has chosen 13 industry leaders as winners in its fourth annual BX Safety Recognition Program. “I’ve been in this business for seven years and Brad’s been doing it for 12,” says Hillman. “It’s time to go out and do it for ourselves.” The company plans to offer strategic planning, market research and creative services for clients.
S. Beckman Print & Graphics Solutions Inc. has received an award for outstanding achievement in Print/Graphic Arts Self Promotion in the 1999 Premier Print Awards, the graphic arts industry’s largest worldwide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of America. The company’s winning submission was a “When the Shoe Fits” promotional campaign.
