Transform your organization and build a higher performing leadership team

The Corporate College team uses a unique client engagement approach to transform your organization. The process begins by learning about your culture and business strategy. Then, we partner with you and key stakeholders to understand your goals, concerns and needs. Finally, we summarize our findings relative to your current organizational landscape and recommend a holistic solution that will help to achieve your goals.
Our commitment is to identify the best solution and measures of success for each engagement. Elements of this strategy include: efficient and timely completion of each engagement, accurate and measurable results, flexible collaboration to your needs, comprehensive project management and a single point of contact dedicated to your organization.
Developing managers
Executive and management development is a critical component of an organization’s success. One of our recent clients was an agency with 2,300 employees dedicated to serving the men and women who defend America by making certain they are paid in an accurate and timely manner. They experienced a business challenge of undergoing a strategic cultural change to think differently about problem solving, analytical reasoning and decision making. Corporate College partnered with our client to develop training sessions for 60 managers and leaders focused on the analytical thinking tools, brainstorming techniques and interpersonal skills required to become an inventive and reliable problem solver and decision maker.  Our structured approach helped managers better analyze problems, generate solutions and to create an environment that promotes inclusively.
Our method included coaching employees as they systematically identify the root causes of problems and work to resolve them. Leaders were challenged to act as a role model by using new problem solving and analytical thinking tools and processes that promote teamwork. Individual and group feedback resulted in positive support as they worked to resolve problems. Employees were able to present problem analysis and recommend solutions to others, rather than just identifying or describing the problem.
Future leaders
Emerging Leader Development is also another important focus required for companies to grow and succeed. We worked with an industry-leading consumer products company that was facing many organizational changes. They were seeking to develop and retain their best people, beginning with members of the management team. Corporate College partnered with the client to design and deliver a customized, multi-competency pilot development program that aligned with their mission, vision and values. The program provided foundational management experiences and learning for participants. In addition, we created and delivered news briefings to communicate program learnings to members of the executive team. As a result, 92 percent of program participants said they would recommend this program to others and 83 percent of the participants said they would be more effective at work as of a result of this program. Participants become better managers and were able to communicate better with their team.
Leadership development in general is an effective training investment. A leading manufacturer of innovative social expression products that assist consumers in enhancing their relationships needed to produce a sustainable, positive behavioral change in the leaders of their organization and equip them with the fundamental skills necessary to achieve business goals for the organization. Corporate College worked with the client to design a solution that assessed learner’s needs, helped them acquire new skills and knowledge and apply them back on the job.
We delivered two distinct solutions, each with a three-day classroom experience supplemented with pre- and post-workshop assignments. Participants used multiple learning channels, including classroom, HBR articles, e-learning, learning contracts and action-learning projects. Results showed that leaders significantly increased employee confidence, which was demonstrated on the job and observed by managers.
Assessing strengths
Talent development for all employees at all levels is critical to ensure that they are prepared to grow with the organization. A world-renowned nonprofit academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education needed to develop the talents of high potential/high performing team members. Corporate College helped the organization develop an innovative and interactive process to assess and develop the skills of the continuous improvement team members. We created a personalized talent assessment center solution built on the foundation of a shared understanding of the department’s needs and expectations around the talent necessary to reach its future business goals. Components of the solution included skill and work style assessment, 360-degree assessment, behavioral interviews, individual feedback and personalized development plans.
This resulted in increased self-awareness of individual strengths and styles. Individual development plans were created. Talent assessment provided a clear picture of individual and collective strengths and weaknesses, which allows the department to develop critical skills and competencies. Continuous improvement managers were better equipped to predict the future job performance of their employees based on the results and feedback from the assessment center concept.

It takes a forward-thinking organization to understand the value of investing in their employees through leadership and frontline training programs. At Corporate College, we understand the challenges of companies through listening and working as a partner to find the best training solution to generate results.
