The winners of this year's COSE Business Plan Challenge received $10,000 and a prize package including free advice from attorneys and financial consultants. Here's a rundown of what some winners have been up to.

Tea Jones

"Female Business Enterprise" winner and Tea Jones founder Sarah Jones, owner of Phoenix Coffee and tea party catering service Charlotte & Veronica's Tea Co., plans to form a board of advisers and is conducting market research for her plan to create a chain of tea cafes under the name Tea Jones.

Jones' research is in the Cleveland Heights and Beachwood ZIP codes, areas where her catering business is successful.

Mid-America Consulting Group

"Minority Business Enterprise" winner Mid-America Consulting Group partnered with Cleveland-based EmployOn Inc., an online recruiting services firm, to offer Internet-based case management and job-seeker employment matching service.

Workforce Investment Boards and economic development agencies are using Mid-America Consulting's ProviderGATEWAY system to track people's success in finding jobs posted on EmployOn's Web site.
