Playing off the slightly more famous New York financial district, Walter J. Sokira, president of Hudson-based Walt St. Investment Management Ltd., says he hopes to make clients wealthy by “thinking different.”

“Wall Street is consensus thinking; it’s kind of what the market thinks. Walt St. is independent thinking,” says Sokira, who says he has nearly $20 million under management.
