Frank Gates Service Co. named Cindy Morse senior vice president, Ohio Self-Insured Department. Morse has more than 25 years experience in the workers' compensation field and has been with Frank Gates for 21 years. She will oversee self-insured claims services for the Midwest region.
Morse previously was vice president of the Ohio self-insured department. Prior to moving to Frank Gates, she worked as claims director for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Morse is a member of the Self-Insured Association.
The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business professor of finance Rene Stultz was elected vice president of the American Finance Association (AFA). A member of the AFA board of directors since 1988, Stultz will serve as vice president in 2002, president elect in 2003 and president in 2004.
Stultz is the Everett D. Reese Chair of Banking and Monetary Economics at Fisher College and is known for his research in risk management, derivatives, corporate valuation and investments.
Neal E. Arnold, appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer, will lead Fifth Third Bank's Investment Advisors division.
Arnold joined Fifth Third's Treasury Division in 1990, was appointed chief financial officer in 1998 and is responsible for investment portfolio management, funding, asset liability management, institutional investment sales and trading and investor relations functions.
He will lead the bank's wealth management arm, which is one of the largest money managers in the Midwest. It has $182 billion in assets under care, of which it manages more than $31 billion.
