What is the best business lesson you’ve learned?
What my dad and uncle taught me is to be careful who you trust and work with. Sometimes, people do deals on a handshake, but you should really have something in writing. If you don’t have anything on paper, you could end up with a large cleanup process and litigation.
What traits or skills are essential for a business leader?
You need to be a strong person with good character. Those are really the basic things. Employees are going to trust you and look up to you, and you need to make sure that’s what you are and what you project.
What is your definition of success?
Waking up every day and enjoying what I do, and trying to bring the same feeling to the lives of everyone in the organization.
