What is the best business lesson you’ve learned?

There are always people smarter than you are, who have ideas that are just as good as yours, if not better. With that in mind, there is a tremendous amount of talent within any organization, and it’s up to you to draw on it.

What traits or skills are essential for a business leader?

A good leader needs to listen, be decisive and lead by example. That means you are in the office early and you stay late, particularly if your business is facing the types of economic challenges that have been present over the past couple of years.

What is your definition of success?

It’s getting up every morning and being excited about the job and seeing that I’ve made a difference within the organization.
