What’s been your toughest business challenge?

Always trying to maintain work/family/life balance and never losing sight of that.

Do you have any favorite business periodicals?

I like The Wall Street Journal for the bigger perspective. I read probably 15 different health care or health care finance periodicals a week, between print and online versions.

Whom do you admire most in business and why?

John Maxwell [an author and leadership expert]. I like what he stands for from a business ethics perspective and how he describes how one should demonstrate himself as a leader.

How would you describe your leadership style?

I’m very aware of the enormous detail of the operations, but I tend to delegate and give people a lot of rope because I appreciate that they may go about managing issues and challenges and problems differently than I would.
