What is your definition of success?
I would say almost by asking questions: Have we created a company that is sustainable and capable of growing and continuously improving? I would also add: Is our company one where our employees are safe, challenged, and have the opportunity to grow in the company and enjoy their lives outside of it? Have we created value for our shareholders?
Certainly all three of those are important.
We have a mantra: Have we treated all of those with whom we work customer, vendors and even competitors have we treated them all in a fair manner? If we can answer those questions affirmatively, we have achieved success.
What was the last book you read?
