Clearly, Amy Greer, the bar association's current president, intends to do some things to ensure the playing field levels out a bit for women and minorities.
"It's been long overdue," Greer says. "The Board of Governors had had substantial representation by women for awhile now. We should not have to wait another 10 years for a female president."
Greer is a shareholder in the litigation department of Klett Rooney Lieber & Schorling, where she specializes in corporate and commercial litigation, securities litigation and enforcement proceedings, class actions and general business litigation.
She also has a distinguished record of community service. The American Bar Association honored her with its Pro Bono Publico award, and the county bar association gave her the Pro Bono Outstanding Volunteer award for her local public service efforts.
