What has been your greatest business lesson?

Never give up. There were times when I left here and figured this is crazy, and I think most businesspeople go through that no matter how good the good times are. The other thing I’ve found is the good times and bad times come awfully close together. I’ve never understood that. Maybe someday someone will explain it to me.

Whom do you most admire in business and why?

Walt Disney. I liked what he stood for. I’m not sure what he would be thinking of Disney today. I thought he had wonderful imagination, and he spent so much time, as we try to do — although he was certainly better at it than we were — on customer relations. It’s so important to retain customers.

What song best describes your company?

‘Unfinished Symphony,’ which was written by Franz Schubert. I think everything is relative. We’ve done a few things, but, in reality, we haven’t done that much, but we’re going to keep trying.
