2009 Pacesetters: Emerging

While some people fear it, Kimberly Loszewski welcomes change.

In fact, she creates it, looks for it and embraces it. As principals and partners of The Savvy Group, Loszewski and Susan Broome, have created an integrated marketing firm with a one-of-a-kind business model, which has nearly perfected the work-life balance for those who work with the firm. From the inception of the company, Loszewski threw all the traditional workplace norms out the window, developing a no-employee/contractor-only/work-remotely model that lives up to its mission statement: assembling a team of experienced professionals that share the energy, enthusiasm and eagerness it takes to make an impact. Using this team approach, we apply our industry expertise to help clients build their brand through integrated marketing.

Loszewski’s management technique has molded the organization into one that is flowing with ideas based on true client partnerships within a culture that puts family first. As a result, the loyalty of Savvy contractors is second-to-none and their work output is superior. Since Savvy took shape in January 2007, the firm has constantly evolved due to Loszewski’s game-changing ideas regarding service offerings and client communication. Recently, Loszewski incorporated architecture and interior design into Savvy’s service offerings to truly build clients’ brands from the inside out. The move is an exclusive offering in the Pittsburgh market and was the brainchild of Loszewski.

These changes have not gone unnoticed in the Pittsburgh business community. When you mention Loszewski’s name, it’s not uncommon to hear, “What are those Savvy ladies doing now?” in reference to her continual evolution. As a woman business leader, she has been a mentor to numerous Savvy contractors as well as student interns.

In addition, Loszewski is just as active outside of her profession as she is running Savvy. Highly involved with her church, Pittsburgh’s homeless efforts and Habitat for Humanity, Loszewski gives her time and resources to help those around her.

Yet, Loszewski does not work, innovate and create for herself. Her determination to constantly evolve is part of her personal mission to always help others.
