The developers of a new software package dont claim theyll be able to cut your employee expenses, but they do say they can reduce the cost of reporting them.
E@sy xPense, a product of Virtual Communications Inc., allows employees to enter expense information from anywhere, anytime with immediate manager access for automatic, labor-free reporting and tallies.
E@sy xPense allows employees to reconcile their credit card or cash expenses to a particular expense category of their corporate accounting system and submit the expenses to their manager for online approval. Approved expenses can be imported to the companys accounts payable system, thus reducing costs from several dollars to a few cents for each report, according to Virtual Communications.
The package is available for $795 for companies with 25 or fewer employees. Versions are available for companies with hundreds or even thousands of employees. The software is equipped with a universal interface to work with any accounting package, can be used either internally on intranet sites or externally on the Internet.
