On June 3, 1999, at least 500 potential and existing entrepreneurs will gather on the campus of Duquesne University for the first-ever Entrepreneurs Growth Conference.
With the void left by the absence of the Entrepreneurs Day Conference, held each year in Pittsburgh from 1983 to 1997, the Duquesne University Chrysler Corp. Small Business Development Center felt there was a need to offer a new event that would inspire and educate our entrepreneurs, as well as invigorate the small business community.
Designed to address the needs of entrepreneurs across all industries and stages of development, this exciting new event not only features numerous workshops for entrepreneurial instruction, but also provides attendees with the opportunity to have one-on-one mentoring sessions with highly regarded business professionals. The combination of superior educational instruction, complimentary private consulting sessions and an opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and representatives from organizations that serve small businesses will serve to create an important institution in the community for many years to come.
We also are delighted that several national, state and local organizations and companies have joined us in sponsoring this exciting event. Our leaders and citizens are working together to stimulate the economy of Western Pennsylvania. All agree that entrepreneurship is critical in this formula. We are eager to have new businesses develop and grow. New businesses generate jobs that, in turn, stimulate our communities and economy.
Our goal is for this conference to contribute to the growth of entrepreneurship in the region in a significant way so the community is better for all.
We hope to see you there.
