VALLEY CITY, Ohio, Thu Aug 30, 2012 – Shiloh Industries has named Michigan automotive supplier executive Ramzi Hermiz as its new president and CEO effective Sept. 4.
He will replace Ted Zampetis who had previously announced plans to retire at the end of the year. Zampetis will stay on at the company through the end of 2012 as a consultant and remain on Shiloh’s board of directors.
The company makes steel blanks for the auto industry.
Hermiz is vice president of vehicle safety at Federal-Mogul, a global supplier of auto parts including Champion spark plugs and Precision universal joints.
“The board is confident that Ramzi has the strategic vision and experience to guide the company in the future as we execute strategies to strengthen the company and create value for our stockholders,” Shiloh Chairman Curtis Moll said in a prepared statement.
Zampetis had led Shiloh for a decade and has been on its board of directors for nearly 20 years. From 1991 until 1999, he held various executive positions, including CEO, at rubber company Standard Products. Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. bought Standard in 1999.
