cle_hr_KathleenVeghKathleen Vegh, employee engagement manager since 2008 for Hyland, creator of OnBase, is the creative mind behind Hyland’s employee engagement program, and one of the key reasons employees have fun at work. Hyland is well-known for employee perks, including work/life balance and everyday services (massages, hair salon, manicures, seamstress, car services), wellness initiatives (5K challenges, Wellness Wednesday, on-site dietician and physician office), family events (movie nights, Cedar Point Day) and other employee engagement programs.
Vegh’s roles include managing Hyland’s People Place and orchestrating all employee engagement activities. People Place at Hyland allows employees to meet with HR representatives, ask any questions and stop by for snacks or event tickets.
She is also currently forming an employee engagement committee, which seeks further engagement from employees at Hyland. Her goal is to increase awareness of Hyland’s engagement programs, discuss engagement initiatives with employees in their respective departments and contribute ideas to future programs. This initiative will allow employees to have frequent, direct communication with the HR team and provide more valuable feedback.
Vegh facilitates employee surveys where employees can provide feedback and recommendations regarding their work experience. She is always approachable and eager to learn about employee’s ideas. As a result of her efforts, Hyland maintains a high employee retention rate, was recently ranked on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list and was named a Top Workplaces 2013 by The Plain Dealer.
Hylanders say Vegh is the key reason Hyland is such a phenomenal workplace where employees are proud to come to work every day.
