MANUFACTURING

Pittsburgh Electrical Insulation Inc., a manufacturer, distributor and converter of electrical insulation products, has become an international distributor for Cleveland-based Martindale Electric Co.

Load Hog Industries Inc. completed an agreement with Ford Motor Co. to team with after-market modifiers to offer Load Hog products. The company’s primary product is a kit that modifies a pickup truck to function as a dump truck.

PUBLIC RELATIONS/MARKETING/ADVERTISING

Rocks-DeHart Public Relations was selected to provide publicity services for the Oscar de la Renta Home collection produced by Century Furniture Industries Inc.

Mizrahi Design Associates Inc. received contracts from the Community Design Center of Pittsburgh to implement a branding and integrated marketing communications program, from Lucas Systems Inc. for communications planning and design services, and from Clark Metal Products for design of its corporate Web site.

Think Communications Inc. was selected as the advertising and public relations agency of record for Fantastic Sams. The agency will help develop and manage the advertising and public relations for the local franchise group and franchising company DePac Enterprises Inc.

TECHNOLOGY

Ripple Effects Interactive was selected as the Web partner for Carnegie Mellon University’s graduate business school to support launch for the institution’s new Web site.

Blue Archer expanded its service offerings to include an application service provider model for delivery of its Internet-based software products. The company also established a branch office in Toronto.

Stewart Mortgage Information and Stewart National Title Services implemented General American Corp.’s GATORS Enterprise technology for most of its real estate vendor management operations.

TRANSPORTATION

Pitt Ohio Express opened a terminal in Temple Hills, Md., to serve the greater Washington, D.C., area.

Ward Trucking Co. opened service centers in Winchester and Ashland, Va., both outside Richmond.
